Pulau Tioman Trip 28th Apr 2007 - 30th Apr 2007
Went to Pulau Tioman with Mandy last Saturday.
0430 hrs - Wake up time
0542 hrs - Took a cab
0600 hrs - Reach Newton Circus Food Centre
0615 hrs - Board the mini van
0630 hrs - Mini van departs
0730 hrs - Departs JB customs (Had a break 30 mins before we reached our destination. The place has lots of flies)
1030 hrs - reached Mersing Jetty (walked around the place and had our lunch)
1200 hrs - board the ferry "Seagull"
1210 hrs - ferry departs
1400 hrs - reached Pulau Tioman
We checked in to our rooms about half an hour later.. a ten mins walk from the jetty to the resort. The service provided by the staffs are good but the resort seems pretty run down. The island looks like pulau ubin. Not the type that we always get to see on the advertisement but the seawater is clear.
For our first day there, we took a walk around the place, bought a new bikini and got ourselves some tidbits, food and drinks and i bought a "hi-card" from there too so that i can call back. The food there are nice. In the evening we went to the karaoke place to sing. Went back to our room at almost midnight.
The next day we woke up at 8 or later can't remember. We were late for the outing. Quickly took a breakfast and off we go to the jetty. We took a different boat from the rest of the group with a family. We went snorkling and walking around at the other side of the island. Had lunch and bought some liquor. Went back to the resort at 1430 hrs. We continued snorkling on our own till 1800 hrs in the evening. Got sun burnt pretty badly it seems. Had a sore throat shortly after due to the heat. Had a heavy dinner and went back to the resort. Dozed off 5 mins later after i lied on the bed.
Woke up at 0635 hrs and quickly took a shower. It was raining heavily between 0400 hrs till 0600 hrs i think.. there was a thunder storm too. After the shower i quickly packed my stuffs into my bags forgetting about the shells i picked at the shores. There's one of these shell that looks so beautiful. Had our breakfast around 0745 hrs and left at 0815 hours. The boat arrived at 0900 hrs. The ferry reached the Mersing jetty at almost 1100 hrs. We went to buy some stuffs and gifts had a quick bite and left the place at 1230 hours. Left the customs at around 1600 hrs. By the time i reach home it was 1635 hrs.. feeling so tired by then, rang Cal alot of times but he didn't picked up. =(
Met him at 8.30pm. He was late as usual. Reached aunt's place around 9 plus. Played Mahjong had Mac and i dozed off at 12am.
